Terms of Use

The short, plain-language terms for using this site. No lawyers were harmed.

Using the site means accepting these terms

Break the Universe is a free, educational playground. By visiting or using it you agree to these terms. If you do not, simply do not use the site.

What this is — and is not

The tuner, quizzes and calculators are illustrative toys that dramatize real ideas from physics and cosmology. They are deliberate simplifications, not simulations of the real universe, and nothing here is scientific, financial, or professional advice.

Fair, personal use

You are welcome to explore, share links to the universes you create, and quote short passages with attribution. Please do not scrape the site at scale, resell it, or pass its content off as your own.

Ownership

The name, design, code and written essays are the work of the author, Lukasz Szramuk. The underlying physics belongs to everyone; the particular way it is presented here does not.

Offered as-is

The site is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. It may change, break, or go offline at any time, and the author is not liable for any loss arising from its use.

These terms can change

As the project grows these terms may be updated. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised version.
